This modern 730-bed hospital, situated on a 70 acre site on the outskirts of
Alor Setar will replace the existing Alor Setar General Hospital. As well as being a provider of secondary and selected tertiary healthcare services, this hospital
also includes a state-of-the-art Cardio-Thoracic Unit, the only one in the
Northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. The planning and design of this hospital
is bound to provide a user-friendly environment for the patients visitors and
hospital staff.
This project is done in collaboration with GDP Architects Sdn Bhd with Perunding
Alam Bina Sdn Bhd as the Medical Planner.
Turnkey cost: RM 552 million
Targeted completion: December 2004.
