This development provides accommodation for
staff of the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at the Malaysia -
Singapore Second Crossing in Gelang Patah, Johor Darul Takzim. Phase 1 occupies
60 acres of land and comprises of 1060 units of apartments and public amenities
such as Primary and Secondary Schools, Surau, Multipurpose Hall and Police Beat.
The various categories of apartments provided include 40 units of Class ‘D’, 28
units of Class ‘E’ and 992 units of Class ‘G’. Class ‘G’ apartments were
constructed using ‘system formwork’ for the benefit of speed and quality. The
buildings are integrated with centralised open green spaces together with
interconnected pathways and children playground, creating easy access within the
neighbourhood and developing attractive streetscapes and vistas.
This project was implemented on a ‘Built and Transfer’ concept at a construction
cost of RM 200 million. It was completed in 1998.
