The Kuala Lumpur Train Station was renovated
to meet the changing demands of the national railway operators, KTMB. The
expansion works of the existing train station included the refurbishment of the
existing station building without making major changes in its facade. This
included the recreation of Moghul facade treatments and domes thus seamlessly
merging the old building and the new extensions.
The addition of the Dayabumi Station with covered walkways linking to the
Dayabumi Complex has enabled the KL train station to serve a larger capacity of
passengers by separating the platforms used for KTM Intercity and KTM
Komuter Services.
